Counting & Recognising Numbers
Objective:

Y1:To count in steps of 1 and 10.
Y2: To count in steps of 1, 10 and 100.
To read numbers up to and beyond 1000.

Flip Counter
A resource to model counting in 1s, 10s, 100s and 1000s. The aim in making this game was to clearly demonstrate which digits change as you count.

Objective:

Y1:To count in steps of 1 and 10.

Number Square
An interactive number square.

Objective:
Y1: Use infomal methods for addition of a one digit number, or 10 to a one or two digit number.

Y2: Use practical and informal methods to add and subtract two-digit numbers.

Y3: Calculate subtraction as difference.

Numberline Boxes
A numberline demonstrator. You can take away, calculate subtraction as the difference or complete division calculations via repeated subtraction.

SAS Number Sort
Choose a number range. Read the numbers sequence and then place the clouds in order.

YR: Say and use number names in order and in familiar contexts.

Whack A Mole

Choose a number to start from. Choose the size of steps to count in. Then whack the moles with the next number in the sequence.

Nile Numbers
Press the 'New Ball' button and watch the ball fall down through the pinball-like screen. Why not give your children drywipe boards and ask them to write the number or the words before the ball reaches the bottom. Goes up to 25.

Saucer Sorter

Choose your start number then ask the children to close their eyes whilst you swap some saucers around, or cover one with the star bar.

Counting Caterpillar
Choose your minimum and maximum number. Children then arrange numbered buds on the branch. If you are finished, click on the caterpillar to see if you are right.

Abacus
A simple Abacus for use on the IWB.

Objective:

Y1: 'Counting-on' in ones from a 2-digit number.

Counting Cars
Turn the ignition key. Count-on in ones to find the correct 'bump target'. Then pull on the steering wheel to drive your car into the 'bump target'.

100 Hunt
You are asked to find a target number on a hundred square, the game shows you how long you took to click on the target number.
Try using this as a game with two players, record times in a table, the fastest player wins each round.
Objective: Say a number that is 10 more or less than a given number.

Octopus Game
Click and hold on the shell that shows a number 10 more than the given number.
Objective: (YR) to count reliably up to 10 objects, -begin to record numbers.
(Y1) to write numerals from 0 to at least 20, -count reliably up to 20 objects.

Pirate Numbers
You are a pirate, count the barrels in the water, enter the number and press the button to attack the island base.
Objective: Count in:(YR)10's, 2's and 1's.
(Y1)2's, 3's, 5's and 10's.
(Y2) 3's, 4's and 5's. Recognition of multiples of 2, 5 and 10.
